WOODACRE, CA REAL ESTATE

The first thing you might notice about homes for sale in Woodacre is that many often reflect the same vibe as the community itself. Unassuming single-family homes with practical living spaces and designs that blend in seamlessly with Woodacre’s serene natural landscape are what potential home buyers will mostly find active on the market, perfect for anybody who wants to get in touch with nature and really experience the uniqueness of living in the heart of the San Geronimo Valley. Entry-level homes in Woodacre usually start somewhere close to $500,000, but aside from a small 600-700 square cottage here and there, which are usually right around that price point, most properties you’ll see on the market are somewhere in the $800,000 to $1+ million range.

LIVING IN WOODACRE, CA

If you’re already familiar with the area, chances are you know that Woodacre is one of four tiny communities along this stretch of the highway, which also include San Geronimo, Forest Knolls, and Lagunitas. While each little town is unique and separate from one another, you might find that, in some ways, they also tend to blend together, especially the Forest Knolls and Lagunitas communities. There’s no doubt that what most locals like most about living in Woodacre largely relates to the tranquil atmosphere and wide open countryside that surrounds this unique Marin County location, but an additional upside to owning a home here is that you’re also not far from plenty of community amenities and attractions that are found in several larger cities nearby, like Fairfax, San Anselmo, and San Rafael. Downtown Woodacre has a Post Office, a small market and deli, a cafe, and the local fire department, but aside from that, the immediate surrounding area is mostly all residential. The Spirit Rock Meditation Center is also located in Woodacre, which is a popular attraction within the Marin County region that’s dedicated to the teachings of Buddha by offering retreats and workshops focused on meditation and mindfulness.
