Because Stinson Beach is nestled in such a tight little area on the coastline, the real estate market here is usually quite limited. What homes for sale in Stinson Beach you will find listed on the market are incredibly desirable, with many positioned near the waterfront, which enables each to boast stunning, unobstructed views of the bay. In terms of home styles in Stinson Beach, smaller cottage-style homes and mid-century modern homes with lower roof lines are fairly common throughout the area, mainly so the views of the waterfront are preserved and can be enjoyed for years and years to come. As you get further inland, however, you might find a few larger two-story homes, as well as quite the section of bungalows, which tend to be the most popular style of homes in this particular Marin County town.

Although Stinson Beach might seem rather remote because it’s either surrounded by the open waters of Bolinas Bay to the east or the majestic forests of Mt. Tamalpais State Park in basically every other direction, it’s still positioned right alongside Highway 1, which connects the city with many other northern California towns, as well as Highway 101, which runs directly into nearby San Francisco. In fact, if you’re a home buyer who might be planning frequent trips into the city, the Golden Gate Bridge is only about a 35 minute drive away, making any commute into San Francisco more than manageable for home owners here in gorgeous Stinson Beach, CA.

People who enjoy spending time outside love calling Stinson Beach home, not just for its breathtaking beaches but also because of all the other nearby attractions, like the Muir Woods National Monument, the Muir Beach Lookout point, and of course all the hiking and mountain biking trails that are scattered throughout the neighboring state park. And according to many Marin County locals, Stinson Beach is also one of the cleanest and sandiest beaches in the entire state of California, unlike so many other beaches in the northern California region that are usually quite rocky and considerably smaller.
