LARKSPUR, CA REAL ESTATE AT A GLANCE

Today, over 12,000 people call Larkspur California home, but despite the larger number of people living here, you might just be surprised at the limitations the Larkspur real estate market presents. It’s not often you’ll find an overwhelming inventory of homes listed, but in some ways, that’s also what makes being a part of this community special. Simply put, when people move to Larkspur, they're here for the long haul. Great schools also help make homes for sale in Larkspur desirable, and of course because of its close proximity to both Highway 101 and Interstate 580, getting to and from just about anywhere in the Bay Area is typically pretty easy from most locations in town as well. The Larkspur-Corte Madera School District serves Larkspur for elementary and middle-school aged students, while the Tamalpais Union High School District, which is comprised of five individual high schools, serves local kids in grades 9 through 12.

LIVING IN LARKSPUR, CA

Downtown Larkspur, which sits just west of Highway 101 along the quaint and charming Magnolia Avenue, has a classic small town vibe, but in a way that’s much more lively and energetic than just your average small town in America. Packed with restaurants, cafes, and countless fashionable boutiques, there’s something about Larkspur that just pulls people in, and aside from its vibrant energy, some might say it’s also the people themselves that make this such an inviting place to live and work. The entire downtown area has been officially added to the National Register of Historic Places as an authentic turn-of-the-centruy town, and with all the historic buildings and of course the incredible 1930s art deco-style Lark Theatre movie house, it’s won’t take long to understand why once moving to the area. Additionally, the huge shopping centers of The Village at Corte Madera and Town Center at Corte Madera are also only a few short minutes away from Larkspur, only adding to the convenience of living somewhere within this one-of-a-kind Marin County community.
